Lions Culture Asia

Date : 27-30th May 2010
Purpose : Peace & Understanding Through Culture

A project organized by Lions Clubs in Region 1, this project received a good response from performers from Sarawak, Sabah, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Medan, Japan & many more. It's aim is to exchange knowledge, experience and understanding of the multitudes cultures in Asia.

Kuching Autistic Association Charity Sales & Food Fair

Date : 27th June 2010 (Sunday)
Time : 7.00 a.m. - 10.00 a.m.
Venue : Kuching Civic Centre

Purpose : Community project
Total # of people benefited : Members of Kuching Autistic Association

Our club set up the stall at Kuching Civic Centre at 7 a.m. on 27th June morning. This time, we decided to sell fresh vegetables, supplied by our new member Louis Ng.

The sales started at around 7:30 a.m. and finished at 10:00 a.m..

Other stalls:

This is the first time we sold fresh vegetables. We managed to sell 54 kg of vegetables (including lettuce, wong kin pek, sawi, xiao bai chai) within 2.5 hours, and raised RM497 for KAA.

Special thanks to our member Louis for sponsoring the vege, to OC Kuek Hoon for arranging the transportation for the vege and to our members for waking up early to help up with the sales!!

Donation to SSPCA - SSPCA Charity Food Fair

Venue : Civic Centre, Kuching

Our club made a donation of RM300 in conjunction with the SSPCA Charity Food Fair held at Civic Centre, Kuching on the 18th April 2010. The first ever charity food fair was aimed at raising fund to enable the Society to spend on programs & activities benefiting the shelter animals. In future, we hope to contribute more and make a difference in the lives of hundreds of animals at the shelter. You can also do your part by being a volunteer or make a donation to the Society.
